For me personally one of the main reasons why the traditional way of marketing a company does not seem to work simply because people are spending more time online, especially on social media. This however can also be regarded as an opportunity for any type of business simply because the company is now able to go directly to where its market is at. This form of marketing is also less expensive.
This new revolution or new era, if I may call it this, is known as the social marketing era. The benefit of operating a company during this era is that you as the marketing manager of the company are now able to reach a much larger niche than before. Companies are also able to build communities around their products and services and this in itself has its own benefits.
One of the main reasons why we find ourselves in this era at this exact moment in time is because we as human being have a need to interact with others. Thanks to the dawn of the internet and social media we have been able to exactly this at a much larger scale than we had anticipated. With the social media website in place companies are now able to communicate with their niche through written words, video’s, pictures and podcast. This is the ideal time to operate a business...
